Best wildflower hike this year! This was our first time visiting the Grand Mesa (near Grand Junction) and I was awe struck by its lovely lakes, forest, lush vegetation, wildflowers and the crag trail itself. You can see for miles while hiking on this high portion of the loop. I loved it! Beware of misquitos--use plenty of bug repellent. Visit in the spring and fall and miss the bugs. But the wildflowers are exceptional.
